Time Flies
Documentary Short
Shot and Edited: Joey Dwyer
In the backwoods of Delaware, surfing is not part of mainstream culture, but father-son duo, Danny and Colin Herlihy, are part of a core crew that embraces their surrounding elements in and out of the water. Through his growth as a waterman, Colin seeks to emulate his father's past by immersing himself in the history of surfboard craftsmanship. In collaboration with a few of "Danny Boy's" closest friends, from Jim Phillips to Tom Morey, Colin and his father find themselves reinventing generations of surfboard designs to gain inspiration. The rapid growth of the surf industry created a very competitive arena for both the surfer and the filmmaker making it nearly impossible to stay afloat, but Colin and Danny overcome each obstacle with endless passion and humor.
